O'HIERLIHY, amaya (FINISHED) « Thread Started on May 7, 2009, 9:44pm »
Name:
Amaya Joan O'Hierlihy
Age:
26
Gender:
Female
Looks:
Standing at her maximum height of 5’7’’, Odette can be described as having Shapely legs. While she is petite, she is very much in shape. Her body is lean and she has a small torso. Her complexion is a medium tone but isn’t as dark as some think it is. Odette has light green eyes and blonde hair, a small nose and a small mouth as well. Over all, her features are delicate.
Occupation:
Is on the dividing line between a pirate and a lady (if possible ((according to her plot)))
Marks:
N/A
Height:
5'4"
Clothes:
Amaya generally wears navy clothing. This consists of breeches, knee high black boots, and under shirt, a vest, and an over sized jacket. Around her neck she wears a thing material that help protect her skin from the weather and it happens to be a part of the required wear. She wears no wig, but must have her hair up at all times on the job. When not working, Amaya had be seen in fancy dress wear when attending the occasional balls. She sticks to golds, reds, greens, and blues. never browns.
Despite wearing this type of clothing, Amaya's clothing isn't anything over the top. When in ports that are on high warning for pirates, she wears regular, everyday, dresses that vary in color and style. However, when she is in Tortuga and/or not in the mood to care what others think, Amaya will dress less formally and ill wear garb that is deemded unladylike
Accessories aren't a necesity to her and she will hardly evr be seen wearing any. Perhaps a necklace or a ring here and there but, she likes to not like having acessive objects about her person.
Weapon:
A letter opener and a maiden pistol.
Personality:
Amaya is a person full of emotion. While she generally likes to stay happy, it will become apparent that is doesn't take much to upset her. When Amaya is a good mood, it's almost as if she had taken smile two hundred and twelve. She is friendly toward most people and will joke and even laugh about nothing. She doesn't have to be drunk or sleep around to have a good time. No, just chatting with anyone will keep her happy.
While being happy can last a bit, you'll generally find that Amaya's personality tends to be quiet neutral. She is very good at hiding her emotions from people. For amaya, neutral means that she'll give a smile but, she hasn't decided if she really wants to be around you. As mean as that seems, it's doesn't mean that she wont' in ten minutes from that time. Since facial expressions often say more than words, some people automatically assume that Amaya is a pregnant dog. However this is not the case. Generally Amaya is a very friendly person but, everyone has their days. When her personality is in full neutral, that's when the assumptions begin. the expression on her face is usually one of nonchalance. Her feet perhaps up on a table, or her back slightly turned from a crowd. Again, it's not that she's shunning people, she is just being nonchalant.
Now, Amaya knows how to handle a man. Just like all the women in Tortuga, she knows how to woo any and all. Besides that fact, Amaya doesn't necessarily just jump in ones bed all the time. No, she actually is like that at all. She respects the man that respects her as a woman. Now, men like that are hard to find but, like stated before, Amaya doesn't jump in bed with anyone. Slow and steady wins the race in her opinion.
Besides the good and the bad, here's the ugly. Amaya can become very, very irritated with people...quickly. If she does not like, in most cases, she will just say it to your face. She will defend herself in every way when she is accused, especially when she knows that she is innocent. She won't stop and think before punching the guy/girl next to her out. While this can be a major flaw, it also helps set a tone. People know Amaya have probably endured her wrath at least one. If not, then they are luck. A woman's wrath is not one to wish for.

History:
In 1652 A.D, Lennox Percy O' Hierlihy met a young English woman by the name of Catherine Pennington, to whom he fell in love with, and married shortly after.
Lennox O' Hierlihy was a Commodore and in high rankings to the King. He was sent by the King, along with many other various generals, on a crossing from England to the newly claimed land in the Caribbean, taking his pregnant wife with him. When they arrived, the ships were docked in the city of Port Royal and the couple settled into their new home that was only a few miles away from the house that the Governor would have when he himself arrived.
Along with the Governor, Lennox had discovered that A young man by the name of James Norrington, was aboard and would replace him of his position as Commodore. Although O' Hierlihy was deeply sadden by this news, the arrival of his daughter brightened his spirits.
Amaya, as she was called, took her fathers name and her mother's intriguing appearance as she grew and was educated.
At the age of six, Amaya's father was retired from his position as commodore and her mother fell ill. Her world grew darker very moment as she waited for the days when the doctor would visit to reveal her dying mothers status. One night Her mother suddenly worsened and died in the morning, with the rise of a red sun. One half of Amaya' s heart had finally fallen like thin glass and shattered into an eternity of pieces as if it had only hit a pillow. She was very fragile.
Her father consumed himself in grief, turning himself into a drunk. He stayed that way, even after finding another woman. A woman so evil, yet was able to fooled him by what she convinced him to be 'love'.
Years came and pasted in the O' Hierhliy house, each one worse than the other, until they came to rest one the day of Amaya's sixteenth birthday. After years of loyalty to the king, her father had driven himself mad. He spent most of his time up in the study for hours upon hours, mumbling to himself. Amaya was of course concerned but never knew what to do. She was only but a girl and her step mother wasn't much of a help either. Concerned with herself and how she looked was all Amaya would heard from the lady...if you could call her that. Like many of the ladies in Port Royal, Biannca was a bit snobby and rude too. Even at her husbands funeral she only shed a few tears. Amaya on the other hand, was now on her own. In a world where men ruled, amaya O'Hierlihy was a young woman with little under her belt.
Where would you like to place them in the rpg: Like to have an alliance with James Norrington,
